What goes on in town while you’re sound asleep in your bed? Nachtschichten, Switzerland’s first interactive documentary magazine, brought to you by the 5th semester students of CAST Audiovisual Media at Zurich University of the Arts delves into the mysteries of the night and its people. For some, nightfall signals the start of a working day. Nachtschichten, or “Night Shifts”, paints the portraits of seven such people who work under the cloak of darkness. Photographs, articles and short films tell a nocturnal tale of hidden people and unseen places.

In order to guide the students towards realizing their concept, we held a workshop to help them articulate their ideas while also preparing them for some of the challenges of digital publishing and app development.
